Eric D. Coleman
Eric D. Coleman joined Atlas Law Center in September 2017. He focuses his practice on consumer protection law, representing individuals under various federal and state consumer protection statutes, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Credit Repair Organization Act (“CROA”), and related state laws.
Before joining Atlas Law Center, Eric gained valuable litigation experience while attending law school in Indianapolis. He served as a Judicial Extern for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana and as a Law Clerk for a private litigation firm handling class actions, complex litigation, personal injury, business litigation, family law, and commercial real estate matters. During law school, he also served as an Associate Editor of the Indiana Law Review.
Experience & Approach
Eric’s litigation background allows him to approach consumer protection matters with a strong understanding of both the legal and practical challenges individuals may face when dealing with larger institutions and businesses.
Throughout his career, Eric has represented individuals in matters involving debt collection, telephone communications, credit reporting, and other consumer-related issues. He is committed to helping clients understand their rights and pursuing appropriate remedies when those rights have been violated.
His approach to practicing law is grounded in persistence, careful attention to detail, and a commitment to seeing difficult matters through to resolution.
Why I Practice Law
Growing up, Eric was often told that he would make a good lawyer—which he now realizes may have simply been another way of saying that he was a difficult child. Apparently, however, he took the advice to heart.
What began as childhood encouragement ultimately developed into a career centered on advocacy and problem-solving. Eric enjoys the challenge of navigating complex legal issues and using the law to help individuals protect and enforce their rights.
