Zaid A. Salem

Law Graduate

Zaid A. Salem joined Atlas Law Center as a law clerk during his first year of law school and has focused his work on advocating for individuals who have experienced discrimination, unfair treatment, and other unlawful conduct in the workplace. He began clerking with Atlas Law Center in May 2023 and continued working with the firm throughout law school.

Zaid’s work at Atlas has centered primarily on plaintiff-side employment litigation, while also providing support on consumer litigation matters. His experience includes evaluating potential claims, drafting and reviewing complaints and motions, reviewing discovery, and addressing discovery disputes. Through this work, Zaid has developed a strong foundation in litigation and a practical understanding of the challenges individuals face when seeking legal representation.

Experience & Approach

Zaid earned his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in 2025. Prior to law school, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies from Lewis University in 2022.

In May 2023, during his first year of law school, he joined Atlas Law Center as a law clerk. Working alongside attorneys and assisting with active litigation matters gave Zaid the opportunity to develop his legal research, writing, and litigation skills while gaining firsthand experience advocating for clients.

His work has included evaluating potential employment and consumer claims, drafting and reviewing pleadings and motions, reviewing discovery, and assisting with discovery disputes. These experiences have allowed Zaid to develop a practical understanding of litigation from the early evaluation of a potential claim through the discovery process.

Zaid is particularly committed to plaintiff-side employment litigation because of the opportunity to advocate for individuals who may otherwise have difficulty obtaining meaningful legal representation. He approaches his work by listening carefully to clients, understanding the circumstances they have experienced, and using his legal knowledge to help them navigate difficult situations.
